Dr. Matthias Magoola
Dr. Magoola , a professional chemist, has led the Dei Group over the years to birth a portfolio of five other sub-companies across diverse sectors, including the current development of the flagship biological drugs and vaccine manufacturing facility in Matugga, Wakiso District, in Uganda, being spearheaded by Dei Biopharma Ltd.
Dr. Magoola , is Leader in management, business, entrepreneurship, and a strategic Planning Consultant with vast experience and skills in the Mining Sector, Medical and Pharmaceuticals Research and Innovation.
He is a Thought Leader and Innovation Entrepreneur with a focus on Medicines and Pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Magoola is a revered scientist, inventor, and novel drug developer.
Kellen Kamurungi
Mrs. Kellen Kamurungi is a broad based business entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience working with key areas of expertise in the business sector.
Prof. Ifee Francis Xavier
Prof. Ifee is the Head of Department of Fine Art at the Margaret Trowell School of Industrial and Fine Arts – Makerere University, Kampala. He has participated in international and national art exhibitions in several places such as: Italy, Vancouver, Cairo, Nairobi, Cologne and Leverkusen.
Ifee is a prolific landscape painter; he has aspects of finely developed intuition, artistic sensitivity, free handling of various pictorial methods and media (such as oils, acrylics, powders, and water colours) with profound and lyrical expression.
John B. Kabandize
John holds an LL. B (Hons) Degree and a Post – Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. He is currently admitted to practise law as an Advocate, a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public in Uganda. John has extensive legal practice experience spanning over 20 years.
He specializes in Commercial Law, Employment, and Land Transactions. John has acted for and advised various international and domestic clients in commercial law transactions and infrastructure development. He also practices environmental and natural resources law and has acted as Legal Consultant and Researcher in major legal consulting assignments.
Kayanja Arthur
Kayanja Arthur is a registered pharmacist and auditor with more than ten years’ experience mainly in the public sector and in development-partner funded settings. He has worked on clients like the Global Fund, GAVI, TASO, and the Ministry of Health as finance/audit professional in Uganda. He has regional experience and he has worked in South Sudan on clients like the Ministry of Petroleum, Cordaid and African Development Bank in the young Republic as well as Hivos and Twaweza in Nairobi, Kenya.
He has extensive understanding of the working of development partners including proficiency in the grant making process, budgeting, assessment of principal and sub-recipients, review of grant documents. He has been greatly involved in flagging operational challenges and risks and proposing actionable mitigating factors to main donors.
James Bisase Segawa
James Bisase Segawa serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Dei BioPharma, bringing over 20 years of financial expertise and leadership in the financial and manufacturing industries and geographical markets inclusive of Europe and Africa. In this role, James oversees the company’s financial strategy, ensuring robust financial health, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth.
James has served in various business leading finance, operations, market growth teams in Influence London, Nice House of Plastics and Movit Products Limited in various capacities that included Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director.
With his unwavering commitment to a mission directed work teams ideology, transparency and integrity, James will spearhead the Dei BioPharma’s financial performance and support its mission to innovate and deliver life-saving medications. He is a vital part of our top executive team expected to guide our financial operations and strategic planning to ensure long-term success.
Olivia Kemigisa
Olivia Kemigisa oversees the overall experience for employees at the company, which encompasses diversity, equity, and inclusion; employee benefits and compensation; global talent strategy; internal communications and engagement; and workplace solutions and services. Her leadership aims to create an environment where Dei BioPharma’s team can flourish, develop, and work towards the common goal of delivering high-quality, affordable medicines.
Previously, she held various HR positions in several multinational organizations such as MTN Uganda and the U.S. Embassy, where she played a key role in supporting numerous transformations as these companies evolved in their business structures and cultures.
